Charnwood Borough Council - Bulky waste collection (flooding)

Bulky waste collection message:
Special waste collections will be taking place for flood affected properties in Charnwood by the Council's waste partner, Serco UK.

These collections will allow residents to dispose of flood-affected household items for free.
To book a collection, residents will need to call: 01509 634666 from Monday, 13 January 2025.

Residents are encouraged to take photos of their items before disposal as insurance companies may ask for evidence.

Used sandbags will be able to be disposed of at Leicestershire County Council operated recycling and waste sites (tips).

For anyone unable to access a recycling and waste site in the borough, crews will be able to take a small number of sandbags. Collections of sandbags will need to be booked in by calling the number above.
